Join us for a very special event with the Shubnum Khan, the author of “Onion Tears”.
About the author: Shubnum Khan is a South African Indian author. Her first novel, Onion Tears was published when she was 25 by Penguin and was shortlisted for the Penguin Prize for African writing and long listed for the UJ Debut Fiction Prize. Her focus is South African Indian Muslim women. In 2012 she was selected as the Mail and Guardian’s 200 young South Africans. She holds an MA in English and has taught Media studies at the University of Kwazulu Natal. Currently she is an Artist in Residence working on her second novel at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai.
The event will take place on April 15th.
